About the Role:
Our client is a well-respected NZ owned business, who have been enhancing the quality of people’s lives for over 35 years.  They have developed trusted partnerships across multiple markets, including Public and Private Hospitals, Allied Health, Aged Care and Community Care. 
  
Due to expansion, they are now seeking an Account Manager for their Hospital Care team.  The main focus of this role is to grow and build relationships within the Hospital Care sector across the Auckland/Waikato region.  To be successful in this role, you will need to have an understanding of the procurement processes within the hospital market and have the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. 
  
This is an on the road position, which will require you to be an expert in your field by having a thorough understanding of the wide range of products available and to be able to generate sales, through direct contact, demonstrations of products and providing professional advice to key contacts.  This will be a challenging role, which will see you planning and managing your Territory for the desired results.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Generate sales, develop customer relations and provide product demonstrations to existing and potential customers within the Public & Private Hospital sector
  • Attend Trade Shows, Seminars and Events to market products
  • Use CRM to track all sales activity including quotes, orders and communication
  • Utilise a proactive sales approach including cold calling and demonstrations to achieve sales targets & KPI’s
  • Act as a Consultant and knowledge resource on capital equipment product sales to help promote the product range
  • Develop and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Carry out healthcare and equipment trials and demonstrations

Skills and Experience:

  • The ability and drive to consistently meet and exceed targets & KPI’s
  • Ability to develop and nurture long-term customer relationships
  • Capital equipment sales experience into the hospital markets, highly regarded
  • Be able to plan and manage your own appointments and schedules
  • Enjoy problem solving and finding solutions
  • Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Sound computer skills including MS Office and CRM systems
  • Current drivers licence
  • Be physically fit, with the ability to lift/manoeuvre equipment or furniture for demonstration purposes
  • Be available to travel in NZ, with some overnight stays required
  • MUST be a NZ Resident with full working rights.
