About the Role:
Our client is a well-respected NZ owned business, who have been enhancing the quality of people’s lives for over 35 years.  They have developed trusted partnerships across multiple markets, including Public and Private Hospitals, Allied Health, Aged Care and Community Care. 
Due to expansion, they are now seeking a Sales Consultant to cover the Wellington and surrounding region, for their Community Care division.  The main focus of this role is to provide professional advice and knowledge on the company’s “Assisted Technologies” range, across Allied Health Clinicians and other external stakeholders. 

We are ideally seeking an OT, Physio or Rehab Consultant, who has the knowledge and experience in dealing with clientele, who have a need for these products to make their day to day lives easier.  Your role will entail contacting businesses within the Allied Health sector, and providing technical knowledge and advice on best fit, form and function for individual users.   This will be a challenging role, which will see you planning and managing your Territory for the desired results.

Duties and responsibilities;

  • Generate sales, develop customer relations and provide product demonstrations to existing and potential customers/referrers, including OT, Physiotherapists and Allied Health Professionals
  • Attend Trade Shows, Seminars and Events to market products
  • Use CRM to track all sales activity including quotes, orders and communication
  • Utilise a proactive sales approach including cold calling and demonstrations to achieve sales targets & KPI’s
  • Act as a Consultant and knowledge resource for the OT/Physiotherapist network to help promote the product range
  • Develop and maintain relationships with OT and Allied Health Professionals
  • Carry out healthcare and equipment trials and training for clients and customers

Skills and Experience:

  • The ability and drive to consistently meet and exceed targets & KPI’s
  • Ability to develop and nurture long-term customer relationships
  • Allied Health, OT or previous experience in healthcare/aged care product solutions, sales or service, highly regarded
  • A high level of empathy and sensitivity to patients and staff in health and medical settings
  • Be able to plan and manage your own appointments and schedules
  • Enjoy problem solving and finding solutions
  • Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Sound computer skills including MS Office and CRM systems
  • Current drivers licence
  • Be available to travel, with some overnight stays required
  • MUST be a NZ Resident with full working rights.
