About the Role:
Our client is a well-respected NZ owned business, who have been enhancing the quality of people’s lives for over 35 years.  They have developed trusted partnerships across multiple markets, including Public and Private Hospitals, Aged Care and Community Care. 
  
Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking a reliable, dedicated and safety conscious Engineering Tradesperson who prides themselves on production efficiency and quality workmanship.  Reporting to the Production Team Leader, this role will be responsible for performing general engineering, welding and fabrication to modify, assemble, repair and customise a wide variety of medical equipment.   You will need to have an excellent work ethic, an eye for detail and an excellent customer service mentality.

Duties:

  • Perform general engineering, light manufacturing functions, including welding, grinding, polishing and machining
  • Assemble products d in the workshop
  • Quality control checks of modified and customised products prior to despatch
  • Clean products prior to despatch or re-stocking
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards

Skills and Experience:

  • Trade qualifications in Engineering, Welding or similar
  • Competency in welding stainless/alloy/TIG welding
  • Knowledge of general machinery repairs and maintenance
  • Skilled in operating lathes, milling and turning equipment
  • Ability to read CAD Drawing and follow written instructions
  • Ability to utilise your initiative, problem solve and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety
  • Good sense of humour & a positive attitude is a must!
  • Ability to pass a Police and Drug & Alcohol Check
  • Clean drivers licence
  • MUST have full NZ working rights
